I had a hunch the storm was going to break at the coast, so I called Miguel and we hatched a plan to meet at Pigeon Point Lighthouse. As usual, I am jamming down Highway 1 at the very last minute before the sun gets swallowed up by marine layer. I was coming straight from work and was still in my suit and tie, though I did shed the wingtips for a pair of water shoes to navigate the rocks. I pulled off in time for a couple shots from this turnout and then got around a couple other angles of the lighthouse...I never actually caught up with Miguel until we were both leaving, lol. He was working his magic down on the beach to the north.

My ulterior motive for coming here was to test a new lens, my behemoth M* 300/4 for the Pentax 67, adapted to my 645D. This was its maiden voyage and it handled well. In reviewing the 100% crops, I am very happy with this new lens if I can bear to carry it around on the hikes...yikes.

Hope you like it!
