Sky Burn

Sky Burn

Fiery sky over Mt. Diablo in Contra Costa County, CA. I joined fellow photog Tony K. for a very last minute hike through some snake infested dry grass. We happened on a rattler at this very spot where we chose to shoot, and it stayed put and rattled at us every time we got close to check on it. After all, one does not simply walk into Mordor.
The wind was super strong up here, but luckily it all worked out with only minimal motion blur.

Lens is the A35mm f/3.5 on the 645D. I did a vertical pano with the 35mm but then cropped it back to more or less a single frame. 2 exposure (0 and -2) manually blended using Photoshop.
Thanks for looking!
