A flight of Sandhill Cranes traverse the rising sun, from this morning on Staten Island in the California Delta.
I made my annual trek to point my glass at the birdies, this time with the behemoth 645 A*600mm lens, adapted to the K3ii. It's a manual focus lens, and with the adapter ring, it is also manual exposure on this camera. So, the entire ordeal was quite a challenge.
The most fun, however, had to be me tracking birds right toward the sun, then suddenly being blasted in the eye with sun rays through the viewfinder. Yikes!
In the end, this was my keeper...and I'm still seeing a big white spot.
