River Bank (BW)

River Bank (BW)

I frequently return to some familiar fishing spots along the California Delta when skies are suitable for reflection shooting. This was the last click of the night from an uneventful sunset in which I spent most of my time aimed southward to shoot Mt. Diablo under cloudless skies, only to finally peer northeast and spot some pleasant stratus clouds streaking after dark.
Conditions were not ideal as I was use a very wide aperture and lying down in cold wet sand and slime to work these tiny rocks into the foreground. They look larger than they really are but that is illusion. The camera was 6 inches off the ground and very close to those rocks. I had to focus bracket for the DOF. No HDR, no filters this time, just a simple single exposure.
BW conversion using Nik Silver Efex.
I hope you like this.
