Last evening from Grizzly Peak in the Berkeley Hills, we were treated to a lovely orange horizon as the city began to sparkle.
Grizzly Peak Blvd runs along Grizzly Peak Summit in the Berkeley Hills, dividing Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Along this winding road are numerous scenic turnouts, perfect for enjoying grand views of Oakland, UC Berkeley campus, San Francisco, and Sausalito.
This is a crop with the 67 300mm f/4 adapted to the 645D.
Katy and I began at the Berkeley Municipal Pier where months ago I had scrawled in my calendar that this week was favorable for a sun line-up behind Alcatraz. Come to find that the pier has been closed for safety issues since July. Plan B implemented.
Hope you like Plan B.
