Laupahoehoe Beach

Laupahoehoe Beach

From last week on the Big Island of Hawai'i, I got up early to drive from the warm, dry comfort of Waikoloa into the eye of the storm toward Laupahoehoe. It was raining hard and I was not sure I would get a shot, but I set up and waited for the clouds to break.
Thank goodness my cameras are fully water-sealed as that is one less thing to worry about when trying to find a composition and wait for the light during a downpour.
This was shot during nautical twilight and add to that the heavy storm clouds, it was too dark for me to see much of these rocks and then focus, but the Hawaiian gods were favorable on this outing.
Mahalo for looking & Aloha!
