From last week on the Big Island of Hawai'i, I got up early to drive from the warm, dry comfort of Waikoloa into the eye of the storm toward Laupahoehoe. It was raining hard and I was not sure I would get a shot, but I set up and waited for the clouds to break.
Thank goodness my cameras are fully water-sealed as that is one less thing to worry about when trying to find a composition and wait for the light during a downpour.
It was still raining when the clouds parted enough to let the sun peek out. I was happy the morning excursion had been worthwhile.
