This has been one of my favorite photographs due to the wonderful light breaking through the fog. Bowling Ball Beach in Mendocino County is the site of numerous round boulders called concretions. This image was at the end of the day after darkness had come and a little bit of moonlight was penetrating a hole in the marine layer.
