Autumn at El Capitan
It's fall in Yosemite Valley, and the colors are popping all over. Clint M. had a crazy idea to get up early yesterday and drive to the park for sunrise, shoot the morning and leave around noon. I could not resist joining him. Here's one from Valley View just as the first light is hitting the nose of El Capitan. The trappings of autumn abound.
This is a pano using the A120mm f/4 macro on the 645Z. It's a 2-exposure (0 & -1.7ev) manual blend. The full sized file is 8,000 x 14,000 pixels and in full rez, you can even see several climbers snugged into their sleeping platforms on the face.
