Moon & Lighthouse

Moon & Lighthouse

That's right, I left home at 3:30 this morning to catch the moonset at Pigeon Point. It's a thrill to stand in darkness at the edge of a cliff high above the ocean and not be able to feel ones fingers...or face...or sanity. Well, by the time the sun had descended to the lighthouse tower, it had mostly succumbed to the haze. Nevertheless, prior to that, the moon shone nicely on the water on a windless morning.
This is a 2 exposure bracketed composite to retain moon detail and smooth out the water. Those keeping score at home should know i made some adjustments to the moon to place it in the frame where i wanted it.

Lens is the Tamron 70-200/2.8 w/1.4 TC @98mm.
