The Japanese name for the Milky Way is the "River of Heaven" (天の川).

This was my last shot from Olmsted Point, testing a Rokinon 8mm lens that Tim lent me. I stacked about 8 x 30sec. star exposures for a cleaner sky (@ ISO6400). Unlike my usual night sky images where I use the built-in Astrotracer GPS feature, the extreme wide angle of the lens would likely not work since the sensor tracking is linear, so no additional tracking help on this shot. Elevation at this spot was 8,527 ft.
Thanks for looking!
