"You Can Check Out Anytime You Like..."
An eerie scene at the historic Byron Hot Springs Hotel. I joined Eloine and Steve for an adventure in the dark that included barbed wire, creepy crawlies, and even an unexpected slide down a hill into cowpatties of every vintage.
This was the third BHS hotel built on this site near the Byron, CA airport. It also saw service as a prisoner interrogation camp during WWII.
There was no moon and no light at all, save for the occasional blinking beacon from the nearby airport. I set up this long-ish exposure and then lit the building and foreground with my flashlight. I incorporated the onboard GPS/Astrotracer in my camera to track the stars for 100 sec without trailing.
Lens was the Pentax DFA15-30 (aka Tamron 15-30/2.8), at 15mm.
Thanks for looking!
