As much as I love traveling to enchanting locations for my images, once in awhile I spot something closer to home. This was shot just 20ft from the Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru in Brentwood, CA. I could hear people ordering their food as I was crouched down in the mustard waiting for the light show behind Mt. Diablo. The viewpoint from this spot was somewhat narrow, as there were apartment buildings obstructing the right side, so I could not capture the magenta glow that occurred some 15 minutes later after it shifted out of frame.
