Hi'ilawe Falls

Hi'ilawe Falls

Nestled in back of lush Waipi'o Valley is Hawai'i's tallest waterfall, Hi'ilawe Falls which drops 1,450 feet into the Lalakea Stream below. That is almost 3 Seattle Space Needles, placed end to end.
While I was shooting this, a couple of local horses kept me company, perhaps hoping for a snack. Eventually, they wandered down the trail where I met up with them again near the beach.
I was completely alone in the valley nearly the entire morning.
Thanks for looking!
