As per my usual, I broke away late and underestimated the south bound rush hour traffic through Orange county, taking over an hour to get here and missing sunset completely. By the time I arrived and found a legal place to park (don't get me started), the last few moments of color were fading, so I fired this shot without even focusing or framing. By the time I had refined my composition, the color was all gone. Then came the surf and I pretty much got pummeled by waves until my gear was dripping. I must say, the waters of So CA are noticeably warmer than No CA this time of year, so I did not mind terribly.
