Mobius Arch
“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.”

Here's another from my weekend astrophotography bender with Miguel. This one from Mobius Arch in the Alabama Hills, CA. We began at sunset at Mono Lake and then headed south, hoping to arrive well after the crowds. We were wrong. As we approached the arch, we encountered a large workshop underway as well as several individual shooters vying for space, and thus had to maintain some distance. The papparazzi row was shoulder to shoulder, so I stayed back and went with a longer focal length.
The lens was the D FA 35mm f/3.5 on the 645Z. As we had no control on the light painting, best plan was to set up and grab shots while the workshop was underway. Then, a tight 3.5 hours of sleep in the car, a quick brushing of teeth, and we set off for the bay area.
